Here are a few notes from the class on 19th of July:

• Keep Composition Simple - uncluttered
• Use converging vertical lines to draw a viewers eye towards points of interest

Set yourself a project to motivate yourself to take photos

Look for subjects when you're not carrying your camera (then go back)

Look for the relationship between your subject and other objects

Be aware of atmosphere and lighting

Use your compass

Return to your subject at another time of day, of the week, of the season or of the year - you will find you will take a totally different photo .

Walk about! Alleys, behind houses, along rivers... off the beaten track.

Include people in the photo

Ask yourself why you want to take the photo

Don't forget about tonal composition

Use glass as a canvass, let it's reflection be the subject

Take notes

Whitecross Street Market

Once in a while I will make the long journey from Finsbury Circus and my office to Whitecross Street Market and will play Random Food Vendor Roulette to pick my lunch. There's just too much choice you see, and in the end, wherever I point my nose and eventually my mouth I'll be getting something good.

It's the same with a camera in Whitecross. The place is full of great subjects at the best of times but recently there's been some great art going up too, interesting and amusing little nik-naks like floating anvils and naked dancing ladies.

Anyway... enjoy.

A Couple of Places to Revisit: Revisited - DLR

I originally took this photo on my iPhone and decided to return to retake it an actual camera. Here's the original post.

Whilst I was there I thought I would have a look around and see if there were any other photo worth taking. This caught my eye because I'm a simpleton who gets excited by bright colours. Pretty isn't it.

This gorgeous little beauty was outside the office today. It didn't belong to anyone in my company, but had all the smokers coming back from their fag break excited.

Not the best photos but a handsome car none the less.
